The Anna M
OWNER'S STATEMENT
As only the 3rd owner in 70 years , I have fully enjoyed the immersion into the history, renovation, and recreational use of the Anna M. During the 7 year renovation, people stopped by weekly to share their coming of age stories- and of catching marlin and tuna aboard the Anna M.
Built as an offshore sport fishing boat she still maintains that sea handling capability. Occasionally, we take on a gang of fisherman and spread them out around the boat for a day of bottom fishing off the beaches in Cape May. As a picnic boat for afternoon outings, she is large enough to load up with family, friends and coolers for an excursion “around the island”. Sunset cruises have been a must- as there is ample counter and refrigerator space for evening entertaining- drinks, buffet and a microwave and 2 burner electric stove to warm up a main course. Coffee clutches and conversation on the water- anchored out or touring the harbor- have provided special moments. For 8 consecutive years, we took a team of nationally recognized waterfront planners on a Cape May harbor and waterfront tour.
We have entertained, and had business meetings aboard the Anna M. We have even held services and spread the ashes of family members at sea from the decks of the Anna M. After all, it is those special moments with family and friends, on the water, that provide memories that last a lifetime.
The restored Anna M, with added systems and accommodations, has proven herself to be the perfect hybrid vessel. The Anna M is equipped with two heads to handle a crowd or to have some privacy if coastal cruising. Her twin engines allow for easy handling around the docks. Other than a trip 90 miles up the Delaware Bay to Philadelphia we have mostly used the Anna M around the waters in and around Cape May.
The dreams of taking her south for the winter or to do “The Great Circle” are mostly in the rear view mirror at this point. After an almost 20 year relationship, we have literally had 100’s of family and friends aboard. Stories have been told. Memories have been made.
And now the time has come to part with her. Perhaps it’s time for someone else to make their memories aboard the Anna M. She will do her part to make that happen.
Pricing is awkward in this format and can be negotiated through survey, assessment etal.
